Spirit of Rage

The Spirit of Rage is a video poem created in response to a group exhibition invitation from the Sakewewak Artists Collective for the Thinking Through Blood exhibition. Produced through 2Ro Media, a collective comprised of Janet Rogers and Mohawk media producer Jackson Twobears, they have combined their talents as poet and mash-up DJ to offer an uncompromising response to white supremacy and the damaging effects this mentality has on our societies as a whole. The video features Janet's original poetry titled The Spirit of Rage and her performance art work filmed by Wes Day of Fresh Shift Productions. Released in September 2020.

Mohawk poet Janet Rogers recites The Homing Bee by Mohawk poet E. Pauline Johnson. Janet remixed the poem with a rhythmic soundtrack.
